Our Story

Managing Director Lisa Carey founded Ellesmere Consulting to provide professional and ethical business services to South-East Queensland businesses.

Lisa’s career has included high level legal and finance positions at blue chip Australian companies like Telstra, Woods Bagot and the Attorney General’s Department as well global Fortune 500 companies, including Shell, EDS and Diageo.

Lisa wanted flexibility but still longed for a role that would provide stimulation and an environment where she could share her extensive skills and experience. She discovered other highly skilled workers in South-East Queensland who were in the same position, and made the decision to create a pool of professional talent to service the SME sector.

How we are different

Ellesmere Consulting offers a truly unique and personal service for businesses that want to streamline their processes and grow their revenue. All our consultants have a minimum Bachelor’s degree, and many have also attained further postgraduate qualifications.

Additionally, many Ellesmere Consultants have worked in either a large multinational company or one of the big accounting or law firms (Deloitte Touch Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young, KMPG, PricewaterhouseCoopers or Freehills). This means our clients also benefit from our consultants’ many years of experience at these prestigious organisations.

While the professional pedigree of our consultants is second-to-none, we also pride ourselves on providing business services with value in mind. For example, our bookkeeping services are very affordable and many of our clients are surprised to find a fully qualified accountant working on their books.
